Golf Heritage Society to hold convention in Indianapolis

Indiana golf aficionados will have the opportunity to obtain pieces of the sport's history during the Golf Heritage Society's national convention in September.

The group that celebrates golf history is meeting from Sept. 21-24 at the Wyndham Indianapolis West hotel near the Indianapolis International Airport. The event culminates with a trade show on Saturday, Sept. 24, in the hotel grand ballroom. Members of the public are invited.

Golf Heritage Society members are eligible to play rounds of golf in the area and take in seminars about Alice and Pete Dye, preserving classic clubs and more. Chris Wirthwein, author and Crooked Stick Golf Club historian, is the keynote speaker at the annual banquet.

More information about the convention is available at golfheritage.org.
