BRONSON — Bronson’s beautiful Bella Vista Golf Course played host to the final Big 8 conference jamboree of the season as hosted by Bronson.

When all was said and done it was Quincy taking the victory, defeating the field and winning with a total teams score of 198. Jonesville finished just two strokes behind, taking runner-up honors with a 200. The Union City Chargers finished in third place with a score of 221, followed by Homer in fourth with a 225 and Bronson in fifth with a 260. Both Concord and Springport sent individual golfers but could not form a full team.

Quincy’s winning effort was bolstered by Sam Sawyer who fired off a 42, good enough for second place in the jamboree. Not far behind was teammate Dave Milliman who carded a solid score of 43. Rounding out the Quincy effort was Riley Iwanicki with a 55, Keegan Neely with a 58, Chase Walters with a 59, and Derrek Newberry with a 67.

Union City’s third place finish was paced by Landyn Crance who carded a solid score of 50. Brayton Mears finished second for Union City with a 52, followed by Jeremy Zehr with a 57 and Logan Mears with a 62.

Bronson’s fifth place finish was paced by a tie of 57 for golfers Carson Norton and Brayden Ransbottom. Matthew Blankenship added a 69 while Desmond Osborne added a 77.

Overall medalist honors went to Zach Mains of Jonesville who shot a score of 41.
