Golf scramble raises $7,000 for the Nathan Albury Quaker Foundation Scholarship fund

The sixth annual Nathan Albury Memorial Quaker Foundation Scholarship Golf Scramble raised $7,000.

In May, the first $1,000 Quaker Foundation Scholarship was awarded to 2022 New Philadephia High School graduate Drew Hostetler.

The next goal is to raise $3,000 to be eligible to award a second Quaker Foundation scholarship.

Earlier this year, Malone University awarded the fourth $1,250 scholarship to Samantha Krocker. Since fully funded in 2019, a $1,250 Malone University scholarship will continue to be awarded annually.

Qualifications for the Malone University Scholarship include a qualifying student graduating from any high school in Tuscarawas County. Nate Albury graduated from Malone University.

Some of the 2022 Nathan Albury Golf Scramble highlights included:

First place: Brandon Tylka, Eric Bonaduce, Scott Heil and Chris Dorrance; Second place: Kyle Kelley, Ty Norris, Austin Yoder and Brad Neel; Third place: Jim Harding, David Harding, Jeremiah Harding and Aaron Brownsword.

Men's closest to the pin: Eric Bonaduce; Longest drive: Kyle Kelley.

Women's closest to the pin: Kim Wilson; Longest drive: Kim Wilson.

The 7th annual Golf Scramble is scheduled for July 8, 2023, at Oak Shadows Golf Club.
