Golfers Justin Thomas, Kevin Kisner bicker about Alabama vs. UGA in national championship

Professional golfer Justin Thomas loves his Alabama Crimson Tide.

Pro golfer Kevin Kisner adores his Georgia Bulldogs.

The two golfers went back and forth Monday on Twitter about their teams meeting in the 2022 College Football Playoff national championship game.

Monday morning at 10:22 a.m. CT, Kisner tweeted, "You ready @JustinThomas34." Kisner's tweet included three dog emojis. Thomas responded to that and said, "No…. But yes…. But not entirely #RTR."

Kisner followed up that tweet with another one that included Thomas' Twitter handle and a photo of a shirt that said, "HBTFD that's what I told 'em." The shirt is based on something Georgia coach Kirby Smart said.

Thomas responded Monday evening at 6:40 p.m. CT. He said, "ITS ALMOST GAME TIME. LFG BAMA FINISH IT OFF. Also hate you @K_Kisner."

The CFP national championship game is scheduled to start Monday at 7 p.m. CT.

Kisner played for the Georgia Bulldogs men's golf team from 2003-06. Thomas was a member of the Alabama men's golf team for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Thomas and Kisner made a bet on the 2018 national championship game between Alabama and Georgia that led to Kisner wearing an Alabama jersey during the 2018 Sony Open.

Georgia defeated Alabama 33-18 on Monday night.

Thomas tweeted at the end of the game, "Man that’s a bummer. Tough end to the season for the tide. Injuries ended up hurting! Congrats UGA @K_Kisner and everybody else as much as I hate to tweet it. Hell of a football team. I’m gonna miss college football for a bit."

Thomas then added, "I am also very grateful @K_Kisner picked the one game they beat Bama to not have a bet with me!!!! Thank you kiz."

Alabama, ranked No. 1 in the USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, went to 13-2 overall. No. 3-ranked Georgia improved to 14-1 overall.
