Good Friday observed in Stations of the Cross procession down Sarasota's Main Street

The annual Good Friday morning Stations of the Cross walk proceeded down Main Street in downtown Sarasota Friday just after sunrise. The event, hosted by Church of the Redeemer Episcopal Church and the Sarasota Ministerial Association, is a tradition that began in 1996 with about a dozen participants, but has grown to attract about 1,000 people in more recent events. Clergy from 20 Sarasota congregations, representing 14 denominations were joined by hundreds of participants in the early morning pilgrimage.
