The ABC News morning show “Good Morning America” will broadcast live from St. Paul and other local spots Wednesday morning.

“It will be a heavy-Twin Cities morning on ‘GMA,” a press release from ABC News said Tuesday.

The segment will start off with Will Reeve at Marjorie McNeely Conservatory in an episode highlighting the sights, diversity, cuisine, businesses and culture that make the Twin Cities “a must-visit destination.”

The show will spotlight local baker Zoë François, Carlson’s Lovable Llamas, Mosaic Hockey Collective and Birchbark Books, the Minneapolis bookstore founded by author Louise Erdrich to showcase indigenous authors.

Viewers can tune in at 7 a.m. on ABC to catch Twin Cities segments throughout the two-hour newscast.

The coverage comes as part of GMA’s “Rise and Shine” series, which showcases nine unique cities across America. The series kicked off in Houston, then moved on to Boston and Cleveland. It will continue to Denver, Detroit, Chicago, Dallas and Miami after stopping in the Twin Cities.

In addition to the “Rise and Shine” series, GMA’s Gio Benitez will visit Target Field as part of a “7th Inning Snacks” segment along with Minnesota Twins mascot T.C. Bear and kids from the Minnesota Twins Nike RBI League.

“7th Inning Snacks” will highlight Official Fried Chicken, Tony O’s Cuban, Red Cow, Kramarczuk’s, and Union Hmong Kitchen.

“Good Morning America” visited Stillwater earlier this month as part of its “Mainstreet U.S.A.” series.
