Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins "mortified" after underwear mishap

Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins was left "mortified" after co-host Ben Shephard shared an embarrassing story.

On Friday (January 19) the pair were having a discussion about the items people have left behind in hotel rooms.

During their chat, Charlotte shared: "I have this fear of leaving something behind and it’s gone forever."

To which Ben answered: "But you have left stuff in the past, haven’t you, embarrassing things you left once, so that would be the fear."

Ben then went on: "Charlotte once got changed behind a curtain and left all of her gear, including all of her underwear, and someone had to go and get it and send it back to her.

"So once you’ve done that, you have to sort of panic."

A shocked Charlotte then told Ben: "I’m regretting telling you that story earlier this morning, which I wasn’t necessarily going to share with people!

"If I had, I might’ve toned it down a bit!"

Charlotte went on to explain that the stage manager had to give her back her clothing, which had been folded into a neat pile.

"I was so mortified," Charlotte continued. "They had folded it in a little neat pile for me, including my pants, right at the top, which was so embarrassing!"

In other embarrassing GMB news, earlier this week Susanna Reid was accidentally kicked in the head by co-presenter Ed Balls on Wednesday's episode.

The pair were doing a segment about etiquette on public transport after a photo of someone putting their feet on the back of somebody else's seat on a plane went viral.

While trying to demonstrate, Ed accidentally hit Susanna in the back of the head.

Susanna said: "I think we've decided it's not OK. I don't know if I can carry on doing the programme. I'm seeing stars. That is our debate this morning, should you put your feet up on seats?"

Guest Andrew Pierce ended the segment by joking: "I think Ed Balls has just answered that question."
