Local Hooters locations donate to Bishop Verot swim team

Representatives from the local Hooters restaurants presented a donation of $1,750 to the Bishop Verot Swim Team on Aug. 30at the team’s practice. The donation will support the student’s fundraising efforts for this year’s uniforms, swim equipment, which includes scorekeeping devices and other items that they have had to previously borrow from local swim clubs.

“When we heard about the students raising funds but still coming up short of their $10,000 goal, we wanted to help out and support their team so they can reach their goal. When I spoke with Coach Egri-Marti, she was very excited for the team this year and the funds raised and so thankful for Hooters' donation. Being an active participant in our local community and supporting youth athletics is a priority of our restaurant,” said South Florida Hooters Partner Dave Thayer.

Local Hooters locations include Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Cape Coral, Naples, Port Charlotte, Bradenton and Sarasota. LTP Management, a Franchisee of Hooters of America, owns and operates 16 locations in South Florida.
