Mar. 3—Thanks to a massive grassroots effort, more than 20,000 bottles of clean water arrived on Feb. 26 for Ohioans impacted by the Biden Administrations' bungling of the Norfolk Southern train derailment. A truck delivered the water to Break Point Sporting Grounds in Rogers, Ohio where Oil & Gas Worker Association (OGWA) President Matt Coday and local OGWA members distributed the bottles to parched residents.

"American oil & gas workers know what it is like to be abandoned by the Biden administration. While we produce oil and natural gas in the most environmentally conscious way, Biden's EPA wastes its resources trying to shut down Permian Basin drilling," Coday remarked.

Coday, an oilfield driver by trade, drove the load from Texas with the help of a co-driver. "These folks need clean water and they need it weeks ago. Since Biden's administration won't help, oil and gas workers are stepping up to get clean drinking water to our friends and neighbors in Ohio and Pennsylvania," Coday said.

He continued, "The EPA should be prepared to assist communities like East Palestine. Instead, the EPA is weaponized against American workers and families. By contrast, oil and gas workers are sending donations of water pallets, logistics equipment, and personnel, to support our neighbors in Ohio."

OGWA started collecting water for the East Palestine Area Clean Water from National Oil Workers (EPA Clean Water NOW) initiative less than a week ago. With over $10,000 donated so far, Coday says that the next delivery will arrive next week.
