Good Omens star Michael Sheen announces the name of newborn daughter
Michael Sheen has shared the first glimpse at his new baby daughter with girlfriend Anna Lundberg, seven days after she was born.
Taking to his personal Twitter account, the Good Omens star revealed the little one's name as he captioned a sweet picture of the pair of them leaving the hospital: "Happy to say that at 8:41 am on Monday September 23rd our beautiful daughter Lyra was born.
"Thank you so much to Louise & all the brilliant midwives at both the Singleton and NeathPortTalbot hospitals," he wrote, before adding heart, baby and Welsh and Swedish flags.
Later, he returned to the platform to thank his followers for their "lovely messages of congratulations".
He joked: "It’s been a wonderful, bleary-eyed week full of love and kindness and extraordinary poo."
Michael, 50, announced that he and 25-year-old Anna were expecting their first child together in July, just two months after they seemingly confirmed they were dating with a series of romantic social media posts.
In a nod to Good Omens, Michael wrote: "Very happy to let everyone know that my partner Anna and I are expecting a little angel of our own. (Just to be clear, we’re having a baby!) #nottheantichrist."
Michael also shares 20-year-old daughter Lily Mo Sheen with his former partner Kate Beckinsale.
