Good Samaritan helps rescue man from fiery crash in Stanislaus County
The heroic efforts of a Stanislaus County man are being hailed by law enforcement. Cell phone video shot by the wife of 45-year-old John Phelps shows the dramatic moments when Phelps pulled a man from a fiery crash. The couple was driving when they saw a truck crash Sunday afternoon off of Highway 108, near Knights Ferry in Stanislaus County. Phelps said when he saw the crash, he knew he had to help.
