‘A good step for my career’: Fresno State free tax program

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Several spots around the valley are offering free support for people looking to file their taxes and it’s all to benefit students looking to gain experience before they graduate college.

Students at Fresno State are volunteering themselves to help the community file their taxes ahead of the April 15 deadline. The program is by appointment only, and anyone who wants help must bring proper identification and printed tax forms.

The Fresno State students say this kind of experience goes a long way toward their goals once they finish school.

“So this is a good experience for me because I want to get my CPA once I graduate from college and I’m leaning towards taxation, so I feel like this is a good step for my career,” said Libet Guzman, a Fresno State Student.

The free tax program is also being held at the Reedley and Clovis Community College campuses.
