Good turnout for "Empty Bowls" fundraiser held in Naples
An estimated 4,000 people attended the 17th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser in Cambier Park on Jan. 21, to support local food banks.
Attendees selected handcrafted bowls and enjoyed soups from 50 local restaurants and clubs, along with entertainment. The event started 17 years ago by students at Barron Collier High School and art teacher Donna Torrance to help end hunger.
