Good Wurst now ‘120 percent ready to rock ‘n’ roll’ after small Central Avenue fire

The Good Wurst Co. location on Central Avenue in Charlotte reopened Friday after a small fire had kept the restaurant closed most of the week.

It was “just a smoker caught on fire — no biggie,” manager Lincoln Clark told CharlotteFive on Friday morning. “We just had to clean up and redo some things and reopen.”

Clark said Good Wurst worked with the fire department, health department and the city to get back in business. “We’re 120 percent ready to rock ‘n’ roll. We’ve got hot bagels right now.”

On Thursday, the popular and quickly growing restaurant had posted that its newest location in Riverbend Village on Corning Place had opened, as well. Employees from the Central Avenue location had been shifted there this week, the manager of that location told CharlotteFive.

“Just an update about our location on Central. Although we don’t have a timeframe of when that location will be back up and running we are now open in Riverbend! Thank you everyone for the continued support!,” the Thursday Instagram post had said.

The Good Wurst serves bagels and breakfast sandwiches in the mornings, and hot dogs, sausages and sandwiches for lunch and dinner.
