Goodbye, DRV PNK Stadium. Hello, Chase Stadium. Inter Miami home venue gets new name

Inter Miami’s home stadium has a new name.

The club and JPMorgan Chase announced on Tuesday a multiyear naming rights partnership for the 21,500-seat home Fort Lauderdale venue, which will now be called Chase Stadium.

The Auto Nation DRV PNK Stadium signage was taken down and replaced by Chase Stadium on the eve of the MLS season opener between Inter Miami and Real Salt Lake on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Auto Nation held the stadium naming rights since April 2021.

JPMorgan Chase is the nation’s largest bank and has many partnerships in the sports industry including with Madison Square Garden, the US Open, F1 Miami Grand Prix, Chase Center (home to the Golden State Warriors), and the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. The partnership with Inter Miami is Chase’s first stadium naming rights deal in soccer.

“Today is a notable, memorable day,” said Inter Miami managing owner Jorge Mas. “When we first began this journey it was always our desire to shine a light on South Florida and Miami and to bring amazing brands and companies together to change the sport in America. Around the world when they mention Inter Miami and Lionel Messi, it will be at Chase Stadium. This announcement is a milestone for us, the beginning of a very long relationship between Inter Miami and JP Morgan Chase.”

Chase cardholders will be able to use an exclusive entrance to Chase Stadium on match day via the Chase Fast Lane, which is expected to go live in the coming weeks.

Other special promotions include presale ticket access, preferred seating opportunities and discounts on merchandise at the Inter Miami team store and food concessions.

In addition, Chase will provide its cardholders with a 25 percent discount at select concession stands (behind section North 109, South 124, and West 130) during Inter Miami’s home opener on Wednesday. To access the discount, cardholders must present their Chase card to the Chase ambassador at the participating concession stand.

There are also plans for Inter Miami Chase activations in local bank branches and throughout South Florida.

“For a community perspective, Inter Miami has demonstrated excellence, not just on the field, but outside and I think there is a lot of collaboration we could do in advancing some of the financial health initiatives, for example,” said Fernando Ruiz, Chase’s Regional Director for South Florida.

“We want to be the bank for all, so having this partnership will hopefully get us in front of more people throughout the community.”

JPMorgan Chase has 175 branches in South Florida and 3,000 employees. The company has donated more than $42 million in philanthropy in the past five years, including as a founding contributor to Tech Equity Miami. Tech Equity Miami is a $100 million five-year initiative focused on supporting and creating more opportunities for underserved youth and small businesses in Miami’s growing technology sector.

“Inter Miami is honored to partner with the country’s largest bank, JPMorgan Chase,” said Inter Miami chief business officer, Xavier Asensi. “We could not have envisioned a more fitting new main partner, as we look forward to chasing our dreams at Chase Stadium in 2024 and beyond.”

Carla Hassan, chief marketing officer of JPMorgan Chase, added: “Their fans are passionate, committed, and proud that Inter Miami CF represents the unique and diverse identity of the area. JPMorgan Chase wants to be a part of this journey, reflecting our long-standing presence serving the people of Miami and South Florida at all levels.”
