Ariel Winter is saying goodbye to "Modern Family" by switching up her style.

The 22-year-old actress, who has starred on the hit sitcom since its premiere in 2009, took to Instagram Wednesday to debut a drastic new hairstyle.

After sporting jet black hair on screen for the 11-year run of the show, Winter is now a strawberry blond.

"I’m a strawberry and a shortcake," she wrote, along with a picture and video featuring her new look.

The change comes five days after Winter announced the long-running comedy wrapped filming.

"In just a few hours we will series wrap on @abcmodernfam," the actress wrote on Instagram, captioning a selfie in front of her trailer. "along with everything else, I will be saying goodbye to the trailer I have had for almost a decade. Goodbye trailer! Goodbye Alex plaque!"

Winter's hair colorist, Tabitha Dueñas, told People that the end of "Modern Family" meant the actress could finally change up her look. She told the outlet it took seven hours to dye Winter's hair.

"With 'Modern Family's long run ending, Ariel is finally free to have the hair color she wants," Dueñas said. "She said she never wants to go back to black again."

In 2019, Winter told People that her hair is actually naturally blond.

"I have dirty blond hair and really dark eyebrows and dark eyes," she said. "I’ve dyed it so many times in the past, so really the most important thing for me with my hair now is trying to keep my hair healthy."
