Goodguys 24th Summit Racing Nationals: What you need to know before attending
The Ohio Expo Center will be a busy place this weekend with the Goodguys 24th Summit Racing Nationals coming to town.
The event is scheduled to take place this weekend with gates opening at 8 a.m., each day and closing at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for the event are $25 for those older than 13 and $10 for children younger than 13.
Are you a car aficionado who is planning to attend the event and hoping to see hot rods and competitions throughout the weekend? If so, here's what you need to know.

Parking costs $7 each day at the Ohio Expo Center, Interstate 71 and East 17th Avenue.
What's on the schedule each day?
The full schedule for the weekend can be found online at www.good-guys.com.
All weekend long, attendees will find various activities and exhibits, including more than 6,500 rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, imports and trucks thru '97.
On the schedule are the Goodguys AutoCross, featuring the Autocross series Forgeline "Buckeye" Shootout, and the crowning of the Goodguys 2022 Street Machine of the Year and Goodguys 2022 Street Rod of the Year.

There will be hundreds of vendors, retail hard-part dealers who will have everything needed to restore or build your car. For more information on vendors, call 925-218-9152.

There will be a best new product exhibit on Friday and Saturday in the Bricker building.
Kids will even have a place to play during the event. The kids zone will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. The kids zone will have free arts and crafts, games and prizes.

Highlights for each day include the Goodguys Nitro Thunderfest, dragster exhibition, on Friday at 1 p.m., a burnout competition Saturday at 12:30 p.m., and a party Saturday night at 6 p.m.
The awards program for all events is scheduled for 2:22 p.m. Sunday at the Goodguys stage.
