Goodwill to move to Brewery District

After nearly 70 years on the near Northwest Side, Goodwill Columbus is moving its headquarters to the Brewery District.

The philanthropic agency will take over about 18,000 square feet in the Grange Insurance building, at 671 S. High St., following decades at 1331 Edgehill Road.

“We are thrilled to be heading to the south side of Columbus, though still close to the city’s core, and where we can continue to serve individuals who need us the most,” said Goodwill Columbus CEO and President Ryan Burgess in a news release.

About 50 Goodwill employees will move into the Grange building in the middle of 2023, according to a Goodwill representative.

Grange had space available because many of its workers continue to work from home.

"We're excited to welcome Goodwill Columbus to Grange's headquarters," Grange Insurance Chief Operating Officer Doreen DeLaney Crawley said in the release. "Our hybrid work environment reduced our office space demand and prompted us to actively seek the right tenant that aligns with our culture."

In addition, another 25 Goodwill employees will occupy an adjacent building at 605 S. Front St., also owned by Grange, that will house job training services.

“The addition of this location is significant for us. Goodwill Columbus is committed to meeting people where they are and within their neighborhoods and communities” said Senior Vice President of Mission Impact and Strategy Jennifer Marshall in the news release.

Goodwill Columbus operates 11 retail stores, six staffed donation centers, five adult day locations, and job training services at The Jerry Hammond Center, The Reeb Center, and 14 Columbus Metropolitan Library locations.
