Goodwill to open donor center in Tecumseh

ADRIAN — Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan will be opening an attended donor center this fall in Tecumseh.

The donor center will be at the former New China Buffet at 1207 W. Chicago Blvd. this fall, according to a news release from the organization. This site will receive donations only. There will be no storefront. This center will provide people in and around Tecumseh opportunities to donate unwanted items.

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan has been serving the community for more than 60 years. It provides services to Lenawee, Monroe and portions of Washtenaw counties and is focused on helping people with barriers to gain the dignity and respect that earning a paycheck brings.

People with barriers includes people with physical and mental disabilities, at-risk youth, youth and adult offenders, the homeless, and the economically disadvantaged.

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan has stores in Adrian, Dundee, Lambertville and Monroe. Its headquarters is in Adrian.
