Goodwin sells 3 buildings for $1.3M

Aug. 25—EAST HARTFORD — Goodwin University recently sold three buildings for $1.3 million.

The properties at 1137 and 1125 Main St., as well as 16 Orchard St., were sold to Bailey's Real Estate LLP on July 31.

The two-story property at 1137 Main St. sits on 1.1 acres and was built in 1949. The neighboring building at 1125 Main St. is a manufacturing-style building and was built in 1900, according to town records.

The university used the buildings for classroom and office space, according to the Todd Andrews, senior vice president for economic and strategic planning at Goodwin University. The school has not used the buildings in many years.

He added that the buildings were recently only being rented to third-party tenants and have been on the market for a few years.

The 1.2-acre property on Orchard Street includes a 1,040-square-foot storage building.

Trisha Bailey, agent of Bailey's Real Estate LLP, now lists her business address as 1137 Main St., according to a status report by the Secretary of the State's office.
