GOP county candidates report 2023 fundraising

Jan. 19—ANDERSON — Republican Devin Norrick leads fundraising among candidates seeking the party's nomination in the May primary.

Several candidates have filed finance reports with the Madison County clerk's office covering 2023. Pre-primary finance reports are due in April.

Norrick is seeking the nomination for Madison County commissioner from the 2nd District. He reported raising $23,233 last year and spent $11,429, leaving a balance of $11,804.

A golf outing raised $9,329 for the campaign. He has provided $3,000 for his campaign.

Norrick has received contributions of $4,000 from Sean Smith, $2,600 from Classic Services of Westfield and $1,000 contributions from Ben McCurdy, Jodi Norrick, ELSA Corp. and the GDS Law office.

Current Madison County Auditor Rick Gardner has also filed for the GOP nomination in the 2nd District and reported contributions of $250.

Incumbent Republican Darlene Likens has not filed for re-election.

In the District 3 commissioner's race, Republican Lisa Rinker reported raising $4,200 and spending $3,810, leaving a balance of $390.

She has provided $1,450 toward the campaign and received a $1,000 contribution from Sean Smith.

Incumbent Republican John Richwine had not filed for re-election as of Friday.

Kristi Grabowski, who is seeking a Republican Party nomination for an at-large seat on the Madison County Council, reported raising $11,150, of which $10,000 is listed as debt.

She has spent $5,941 and has a balance of $5,209. Grabowski received a $1,000 donation from Lela Barrett.

Incumbent Mikeal Vaughn has provided $5,300 to his re-election campaign and has spent $4,298, leaving a balance of $1,002.

Incumbent Republican Anthony Emery and Ben Gale have not filed for re-election.

Republican Todd Culp, who is seeking the nomination for Madison County auditor, showed contributions of $18,500 and expenditures of $11,177, leaving a balance of $7,233.

Culp is showing a loan of $5,000 to his campaign with $13,500 in unitemized contributions following a fundraising event.
