On Friday, Hilary Duff appeared at the Disney D23 Expo to announce that Lizzie McGuire is returning to our screens in a reboot that will show Lizzie as a 30-year-old living and working in Manhattan.

The series will be shown on Disney's new streaming platform, Disney Plus, and is set to be released in 2020. But while we know that Hilary is returning, one person we're not so sure about is our childhood crush, Gordo.

In 2015 the cast got together for a mini reunion. Which saw Hilary reunited with Miranda (Lalaine Vergara-Paras) and her younger brother Matt (Jake Thomas). But Gordo was nowhere to be found.

A couple of years after The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Gordo (aka Adam Lamberg - who is now THIRTY FOUR) appeared in a couple of small indie movies - When Do We Eat? and Beautiful Loser.

But after that, Adam pretty much disappeared from public life, erasing all his social media accounts and stepping away from acting. In fact, he's so hidden from the world that at one point, Google autocorrected his name to Adam Lambert:

Thankfully, Google have since rectified this horrific error.

Unlike Adam Lambert, who is still enjoying a flourishing pop career, Adam Lamb-erg is perfectly happy and, last we heard, was working for New York's Irish Arts Center as Development Associate, after studying geography at UC Berkeley.

Following his moment in the spotlight, Adam reportedly studied at UC Berkley, graduated with a degree in geography and went on to gain a MPA degree from New York City's Baruch College.

Here he is in May 2017:

After everyone freaked out about him not being at the reunion in 2015, IAC's official Twitter account even got involved in the #WheresGordo hunt themselves, with this:

If you need to feel any more at peace with Gordo's place in the world, he said in a Tumblr chat a couple of years ago: "Life is fantastic, though I constantly have too much time on my hands and am constantly struggling to find intriguing and creative ways with which to fill it. Other than that, very little to complain about… (Who am I kidding? I'm a New Yorker. We love to complain.)"

Now, the only outstanding question is will Gordo and Lizzie be reunited for the reboot? We'll have to wait till 2020 to find out...
