Gordon Ramsay has shared his frustration about the UK’s third national lockdown after flying to Costa Rica to film a new TV show.

The celebrity chef shared an old picture on Instagram of himself screwing his face up next to his 21-month-old son Oscar as a crying baby, captioned “The face you make when you’re on Lockdown No 3 @oscarjramsay”.

Ramsay, 54, has in fact left the UK during the national lockdown to film a new series of his National Geographic cooking show Uncharted in Central America.

Restaurant Soda Mirna, in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, revealed the F Word star had paid them a visit on the same day he was complaining about lockdown.

A post on Soda Mirna’s Facebook page showed a picture of Ramsay captioned: “It was a great pleasure and privilege that Mr. Gordon Ramsay was here and that he liked our food.”

The selfie shows Ramsay not wearing a mask or practising social distancing.

The production company for Uncharted said in a statement to MailOnline: “COVID-19 is taken very seriously with our entire crew prior, during and after filming – on and off set.

“We currently partner with a highly experienced team that specialises in infectious disease control who monitor the working practices to ensure the crew and local contributors remain safe at all times.

“Prior to departure all participants are required to receive a negative COVID-19 test result that must be provided no more than 72 hours before arrival.

“During all travel, airport transit, flight duration and when in the cars to and from locations, PPE should be worn.

“The crew and contributors maintain social distancing when possible and proper handwashing/sanitising is practiced at all times.

Ramsay previously came under fire for spending the first lockdown at his holiday home in Cornwall instead of staying at his London residence.

The restaurateur and wife Tana are parents to Megan, 22, twins Holly and Jack, 21, Matilda, 19, and 21-month-old Oscar.

Yahoo UK has contacted Ramsay’s representative for comment.
