Gov. Charlie Baker officiates wedding of PR leader George Regan on Cape Cod

Public relations specialist George Regan married Elizabeth Akeley in a Cape Cod wedding that drew a number of prominent guests – including the governor himself.

Gov. Charlie Baker officiated the ceremony, which featured a reading delivered by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

The guest list included Sen. Ed Markey, Reps. Lori Trahan and Stephen Lynch, Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, Treasurer Deb Goldberg, Secretary of the Commonwealth Bill Galvin, former Boston police commissioner William Gross, New Balance CEO Jim Davis, auto giant Herb Chambers and many other big names in politics, business and entertainment.

Akeley arrived at the ceremony on a tug boat before a crowd of roughly 400 guests at the Nauticus Marina.

The event included performances by James Montgomery, Saturday Night Live vocalist Christine Ohlman, former U.S. senator Scott Brown, comedian Steve Sweeney, tromobinst Jiggs Whigham and the Celebration Singers Gospel Choir.
