Gov. JB Pritzker Updates State Mask Mandate, Lifting Requirement For Fully Vaccinated People In Most Cases

Just days after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention eased their guidance regarding masks, Gov. JB Pritzker is updating the statewide mask mandate in Illinois, to lift the requirement for a face covering in most cases for people who have been fully vaccinated.

This just in. The mask look is going away in Illinois. That's if you are fully vaccinated. Governor JB Pritzker today saying people can start shedding their masks and no more social distancing in most indoor and outdoor settings. Vaccinated and unvaccinated people still need to wear masks on public transportation or in health care facilities. Here's part of the reason. Take a look at the curb, just 946 new cases today. It's the lowest we've seen since mid-march before that mid-july.
