Gov. Lamont Announces Vaccination Milestone

Connecticut became the first state to have more than 50% of adults fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

- Connecticut had previously announced plans to eliminate restrictions on May 19 for businesses, including capacity limits on large event menus. But on that vaccination note, the governor there just announced that today the state has reached a vaccination milestone.

NED LAMONT: We're the first state in the country to have over half of our adults fully vaccinated. That's an extraordinary achievement that allows the reopening to continue in a prudent way. It makes such a big difference.

- And Governor Ned Lamont over the weekend, outdoor restrictions-- those were eased at Connecticut bars and restaurants, allowing customers to buy alcohol without purchasing food.
