HARRISBURG − Gov. Tom Wolf signed a bill into law, as Act 73 of 2022, Monday that removes the criminality of "homosexual acts" from the Pennsylvania Crimes Code.

The act, originally introduced as PA House Bill 2125 by Rep. Todd Stephens, R-151, Montgomery County, removes references to the term "homosexuality" within definitions of prohibited sexual acts in the crimes code.

The bill unanimously passed in the state House and Senate.

This does not change any provisions in the crimes code in regard to sexual assault and illegal sexual activity with minors.
