CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) — An announcement was made by Governor Justice and First Lady Cathy Justice about the next six therapy dogs that will be placed in the state.

‘Communities In Schools’ now in all 55 West Virginia counties

The therapy dogs are part of the Friends With Paws initiative, and will be put in Communities In Schools sites throughout the state. The addition of these six furry friends to the program will bring the total therapy dogs in the state up to 25.

These therapy dogs will bring friendship, love, and support to their schools. It’s incredible what benefits these dogs bring, not just for the students but for the whole faculty. I look forward to welcoming each one and seeing the amazing work that they do for our students.
