The 911 is the longest-running and most successful Porsche in history. While plenty of these cars frequent car shows and your local track, this 1982 Porsche 911 SC Outlaw 3.2L is a true standout. Originally built by Synergy Racing, it has since been converted for street use. That means tons of upgrades, mind-blowing performance, and the ability to legally cruise through the city. Breathing more life into the car, the 3.0-liter flat engine was stroked to 3.2 liters and 40 IDA Weber carbs were fitted to the intake. It still works with the stock 915 5-speed manual mated to a Wevo short shift kit, and with the help of a Sachs power clutch plus aluminum fly wheel it channels power through the rear tires. Excellent flow and sound comes through the custom exhaust. The front brakes on this build come from a donor Boxster. This 911 SC has a much tighter chassis and superior handling, thanks to upgrades like Bilstein sport shocks, Weltmeister 22mm front/rear sway bars, 29mm rear torsion bar, and Turbo tie rods.
A bold orange paint job makes a strong statement, while the black accents like Fuchs wheels and headlight bezels balance out the brightness for a tasteful combo. A gaping intake in the lower front fascia combines with a lip spoiler and a fiberglass RS Duck Bill wing for a decidedly aggressive appearance.
While the interior is surprisingly plus for a former racer, it has some nice motorsports-inspired details. Among them is the Porsche Design Momo steering wheel, Rennline aluminum pedals/floorboards, OMP Brands Hatch seats, and updated LED gauges.
Starting in 1978 running through 1983, Porsche replaced the 911 and Carrera models with the 911 SC. Old air-cooled Porsche 911s continue to climb in value, and considering this one wears all kinds of unique track-ready upgrades, it stands out even more.
