From unemployed to self-employed Randolph woman is sitting in the driver's seat

Owner Marie Stuart Noel stumbled on entrepreneurship four years ago by accident in her Randolph home. Before owning the party chair rental service, Noel was in the Army Reserve and managing clinical trials at Harvard Clinical Research Institute. What kick-started the entrepreneur’s journey was being laid off from the clinical job and left to fend for herself.

Boston Medical Center is moving forward with plans to open the Brockton Behavioral Health Center in October in the former Braemoor nursing home  — though some residents continue to voice concerns over the facility's impact on the neighborhood. Last week, BMC held its second community meeting for the project at the Hancock School, where they shared updates addressing the residents' previous concerns. More than 30 community members attended the public meeting. Some residents still worry that patients would leave the facility, causing safety issues for the surrounding community.
