Graeter’s brings back popular flavor in celebration of Cincinnati Zoo’s newest hippo
In celebration of the arrival of baby Fritz at the Cincinnati Zoo, Graeter’s Ice Cream is bringing back a popular flavor for a limited time.
Cincinnati-based Graeter’s is bringing back the “Chunky Chunky Hippo” flavor as supplies last starting Oct. 10.
The flavor is a toffee ice cream base with salted roasted peanuts and milk chocolate caramel truffles.
A pint of what one reviewer called an “ice cream masterpiece” can only be purchased online and ships nationwide.

A portion of proceeds from Chunk Chunky Hippo sales will benefit the Cincinnati Zoo.
Cincinnati native Loren Long’s art, which captures baby Fiona’s likeness, will remain on the pint.
Fritz, baby brother to world famous Fiona, was born at the zoo on Aug. 3.
Fritz’s hippo family, or “bloat”, can be spotted at the Hippo Cove at the zoo.
