GRAFTON — Sunday’s episode of Showtime's“Dexter: New Blood” was a doozy.

And the big reveal for Central Mass. fans was that Angela Bishop (Julia Jones), the police chief of Iron Lake, New York, lives in Grafton, Massachusetts, or at least that’s where the house that doubles as her home on the show stands.

Not only did the police chief of Iron Lake confront her boyfriend, Jim Lindsay, about his past life as Dexter Morgan and his betrayal of her trust, she also found Dexter’s son in bed with her daughter.

At the 35-minute mark, Chief Bishop goes home and you can clearly see this is 3 Chestnut St. in Grafton, where the “Dexter” crews filmed back in May.

The yards at 3 Chestnut St. was given a winter feel.

The house was briefly spotted in an earlier episode, when Bishop had an innocent encounter with her neighbor checking the mail, but because of the camera angle that focused more on the fake snow covered yard, one could not make a perfect match.

Sunday, we had our perfect match.

Also, Harrison (Jack Alcott) participated in a bone-snapping, high school wrestling match and Dexter confronted rival serial killer Kurt Caldwell (Clancy Brown) in scenes most likely filmed inside the gymnasium of the Nashoba Regional School in Bolton, doubling as Iron Lake High School.

And, the episode before, AC Hotel by Marriott Worcester and a house on Colby Avenue in Worcester were prominently used.

Still no word where Clancy Brown’s luxurious, serial killer shack in the middle of nowhere or “Clark Caves” (which hides a few secrets of its own) are located but there is a good chance it’s somewhere in Central Mass.

As for Dexter, who’s “feeling a little butchery,” he learned first-hand that hell hath no fury like a police chief scorned, especially if she’s your girlfriend, while coming to the harsh realization that his past has finally caught up to him.

Then again, the show ended with a Bishop, after discovering a body (not one of Dexter’s), crying on the phone, “I don’t need Jim Lindsay. I need Dexter Morgan.”

In the Dexter universe that’s the closest you can expect to hope springing eternal in the harshness of winter.
