Grammy-winning country music star coming to Peoria this weekend

Keith Urban, a winner of four Grammy awards, will perform at the Peoria Civic Center on Nov. 4.

The country music singer will be joined by Tyler Hubbard and Ingrid Andress. "THE SPEED OF NOW WORLD TOUR" is Urban’s first world tour in four years.

Here is some information concertgoers should know before the concert comes to Peoria.

General information for the Peoria Civic Center

The concert starts at 7 p.m., and doors open at 5:30 p.m. All transactions at concession stands must be cashless.

The Peoria Civic Center enforces a "clear bag policy." Concertgoers are permitted to bring non-transparent wallets or clutches which are not larger than 4-and-a-half by 6-and-a-half inches. Bags carrying medical necessities or diaper bags for those with children under 3 will also be permitted after an inspection.

Aside from these exceptions, any bag larger than a wallet or clutch must be transparent and not exceed a foot in height and width and 6 inches in depth. According to the venue, gallon-sized ziplock bags work well.

The second floor offers plenty of available seating. Tickets on this level are listed with a “face value” of $26.50 on Ticketmaster. With fees and an order processing fee is included, a single ticket on this floor shows as $41.50.

For two tickets on this level, the total price is listed as $77.80 when fees and the order processing fee is included.

Most of the tickets for the floor seating and first level seating have been sold, with only a handful of single seats available in each section.

Parking at the Peoria Civic Center

The Peoria Civic Center offers two parking areas. The Marquee Lot is off of Kumpf Boulevard, and the Fulton lot is situated at the intersection of Fulton Street and Monroe Street. Parking at the Peoria Civic Center costs $20 and all payments must be cashless.

Downtown parking meters are enforced Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For those planning to arrive earlier than 6 p.m., meters charge $1 per hour and accept quarters, dimes or nickels.

Restaurants in downtown Peoria

Honey Sugar's Café, Jack’s on Adams, Kenny’s Westside Pub, Kickback on Fulton, Table 19 and Hoops Pub & Pizza are all situated downtown near the Peoria Civic Center. Jim’s Steak House is also listed as a five minute walk from the Civic Center on Google.

Concertgoers can also stop by Thyme Kitchen and Craft Beer, Kelleher's Irish Pub & Eatery, Rhythm Kitchen Music Café, Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery and Eatery or The Blue Duck Barbecue Tavern. Each of these locations are less than a mile away from the Peoria Civic Center.

Hotels near the Peoria Civic Center

Do you plan on traveling into town and are looking for a place to stay after the concert?

There are four hotels in close proximity to the Peoria Civic Center. These include Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette, Mark Twain Hotel, Staybridge Suites Peoria-Downtown and Four Points by Sheraton.
