Bob Lanzetti is coming home this weekend.

Lanzetti is the Brick-native, Brooklyn-based guitarist for the Grammy-winning instrumental jazz collective Snarky Puppy.

He plays with violinist Zach Brock and percussionist Keita Ogawa, both also from Snarky Puppy, at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Triumph Brewing Company in Red Bank.

Also a noted session guitarist and music educator, Lanzetti last year released “Nosferatu,” an album of music inspired by F.W. Murnau’s landmark 1922 classic vampire film.

‘Skinamarink’ brings scares to the ShowRoom

Brace yourselves: “Skinamarink” is coming.

The directorial debut from writer, director and producer Kyle Edward Ball, the Canadian paranormal thriller turned heads when it arrived at Fantasia Fest last summer, and has had horror-watching corners of social media abuzz ever since.

The film concerns two children who discover one night that their father has disappeared — as have all of the doors and windows in their home.

“Skinamarink” is set to hit streaming service Shudder, but first it arrives in select cinemas via IFC Midnight starting Friday, including the ShowRoom Cinema on Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park.

Icarus Brewing celebrates sixth anniversary in Lakewood

Jersey craft beer stars Icarus Brewing Company of Lakewood will be celebrating their sixth anniversary all weekend in their Swathmore Avenue tasting room.

The fun starts at noon on Friday with the release of anniversary cans and glasswear — fans are advised to stay tuned to Icarus’ social media channels for full details on both. There will then be live music by Tim Poole and Sean Salsano starting at 7:30 p.m.

Festivities continue at noon on Saturday with anniversary bottle and glasswear releases, with special barrel-aged beers on tap. The live music kicks off at 7:30 p.m. with Pepperwine and Poeta.

Starting at noon on Sunday, there will be three limited beers on tap, more glasswear on sale, and a hard seltzer available — all tasting room exclusives with crowlers to go.

Chuck Ragan plays Atlantic City

Chuck Ragan is a lot of things to a lot of people — raging frontman for Florida post-punks Hot Water Music, noted fisherman, video game composer, Revival Tour mastermind.

Ragan will be in troubadour mode this weekend when he makes his way back to the Jersey Shore, showcasing the singer/songwriter side of his repertoire at Atlantic City’s Anchor Rock Club on Saturday night.

It’s been 15 years since Ragan began crafting a remarkably sturdy body of acoustic work for himself with the 2007 releases of his solo studio debut “Feast or Famine” and the essential live record “Los Feliz.” For a survey of Ragan’s work to date, check out the 2022 live album “The Blueprint Sessions.”

Ragan will be joined at the Anchor Rock Club by Asbury Park scene favorite Sammy Kay and the Seasonal Depression.

Splintered Sunlight plays JGB in Lake Como

Splintered Sunlight has been known for years as one of the pre-eminent Grateful Dead tribute bands in the Jersey Shore and Philadelphia scenes. But this weekend, they're switching things up.

Splintered returns to Salty's Beach Bar in Lake Como to celebrate the work that Grateful Dead singer/guitarist Jerry Garcia performed with the Jerry Garcia Band — a crowd-pleasing, ever-evolving collective that served as a showcase for Garcia's takes on R&B, soul, pop and rock classics, presented in his singular fashion.

Dine with 'Top Chefs'

The Heirloom restaurant in The St. Laurent is manned by Bravo "Top Chef' competitor David Viana. Thanks to the friendships he's made along the way, he's invited other Top Chefs for an exclusive, multi-weekend series, featuring culinary experiences with world-class chefs.

Starting this weekend with chef Joe Flamm, guests will have access to the behind-the-scenes thought processes of trend-setting chefs, while indulging in their creations. The weekend of Feb. 24 to 26 will feature chef Joe Sasto. Chef Eric Adjepong will be featured March 17 to 19.

Each Friday, kicking off at 6 p.m., that weekend's featured chef will host an opening reception and Chef Collaboration dinner for $300. Enjoy a cocktail in the cocktail lounge, while the guest of honor mingles with guests. At 7 p.m., dining will start on a chef-prepared six-course dinner.

Saturdays will start at 1 p.m. with a $60 wine and cocktail tasting seminar, followed by a $60 cocktail class at 3 p.m. Chefs will teach guests to make their favorite signature cocktails, and then at 6 p.m. there will be another cocktail reception and six-course dinner for $300.

Sundays will start earlier, at 11 a.m., with a cooking class for $250.

The Top Chef premium pass for $1,500 includes one cocktail reception and six-course dinner with each chef, as well as a stay in one of the St. Laurent's guest rooms for the evening of each dinner.

Disney on Ice comes to Newark

Hosts Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse bring audiences on an expedition across raging seas, snow-covered mountains and the marigold bridge in "Disney On Ice presents Into The Magic," playing Friday through Monday at Prudential Center in Newark.

The extravaganza, produced by Feld Entertainment, Inc., features characters from Disney’s "Moana," "Frozen," "Coco" and "Beauty and the Beast," among others. Originally from Morris Plains, Jessica Hatfield plays Cinderella in the show. She began skating when she was 5 and went on to become a U.S. Figure Skating gold medalist.

"Into The Magic" takes families on a high-sea adventure as Moana sets sail on a life-changing quest to save her island with help from the demigod Maui. With the ice floor transformed into the vast oceanic scape, Disney on Ice allows Moana’s strength and determination to take center stage.

Journey across the Marigold Bridge with Miguel from Disney·Pixar’s "Coco" into the mystical Land of the Dead and discover a vibrantly colorful performance with skeletons in a cultural celebration of family.

Belle shows what it means to be fearless. Along with her new friends in the enchanted castle, she is encouraged to step outside the ordinary and find joy in the bleakest situation.
