Grammy-winning musician who topped the charts with Rihanna is coming to Tri-Cities

Trap music veteran T.I. will come to the Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo for the Summer Concert Series on August 22.

Tip “T.I.” Harris has topped the charts with party hits “Whatever You Like,” and “Live Your Life” featuring Rihanna and in features like Drake’s “Fancy” and Justin Timberlake’s “My Love.”

He’s released 11 studio albums and numerous other projects.

The artist has received three Grammy awards, 11 Billboard awards, three BET awards and two American Music Awards. He is also one of the founders of Grand Hustle Records.

Other works

T.I. hosts a #1 podcast, expediTIously, which has a five-star rating.

Harris has been considered an activist in recent years. His charity, Harris Community Works, is aimed at systemic change in underserved communities.

T.I. is also an actor, appearing in the Ant-Man series, Takers and Sleepless, plus short films, some of which he also produced.

Concert tickets

Tickets to T.I.’s summer concert go on sale at 8 a.m. April 7, online and at the Kennewick Ranch & Home.

A ticket to the fair comes with free general admission concert seating, but reserved seats are also available for $30. You still have to buy admission to the fair.

The Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo is also debuting a new open area in front of the stage, called the Fan Zone, at a cost of $40 a ticket.

The fair is reminding fans to beware of scams when buying tickets. Only tickets bought directly from the fair will guarantee a seat.
