The Tri-Cities has seen more rappers than usual in 2023, between the Uptown Get Down music festival and visits from throwback favorites, it’s clear hip hop is alive and well in Eastern Washington.

Adding to the year’s repertoire, award-winning rapper Ludacris, or Chris Bridges, is coming to the Toyota Center in Kennewick on Sept. 19.

The chart-topping artist has won several Grammy awards among other achievements. Across the globe, he’s sold more than 24 million albums.

His signature “Luda, Luda” before a verse was commonly heard on Top 40 radio stations throughout the 2000s and 2010s. Billboard even considers him “one of the most successful rappers of the ‘00s.”
