The Grammys were back for the 61st annual award ceremony, this time in Los Angeles.

Stars of the music industry from around the world hit the red carpet on Sunday 10 February, and they did so in memorable outfits.

Despite a trail of controversies leading up to the show, most notably Ariana Grande dropping out of both performing and attending, the Staples Centre hosted some of the world's most exciting musical artists - which meant plenty of equally exciting ensembles.

The Grammys are famed for showcasing some of the most daring outfits of awards season, and this year proved no different, with outfits from Cardi B to Dolly Parton, Lady Gaga to Jennifer Lopez, dazzling.

When it came to gown hues, the theme trended towards Valentine's Day, with light pink, red, and silver dominating the red carpet.

Stand-out moments from the show included Michelle Obama making a surprise appearance in a shimmery pantsuit and Alicia Keys hosting makeup-free.

Tulle, lots of feathers, and long trains also stole the spotlight, as did statement hats and pantsuits.

And the red carpet wasn't without its political statements, as both Joy Villa and Ricky Rebel donned pro-Trump outfits for the 61st annual award show.
