Grand Canyon's Chance McMillian, Aidan Igiehon enter transfer portal
Grand Canyon junior guard Chance McMillian, who was huge in the school making the NCAA Tournament twice in the last three years, has entered the transfer portal, according to Verbal Commits.
Verbal Commits also reported that big man Aidan Igiehon entered the portal.
Igiehon's decision was expected. He was not a part of the regular rotation after Yvan Ouedraogo returned from a hand injury during WAC play.
But it is a suprise that McMillian would want to test the transfer waters. He became a starter after point guard Jovan Blacksher Jr., suffered a season-ending knee injury on Jan. 5 in the Antelopes' overtime win at Sam Houston in Texas.

McMillian, 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, from Vallejo, California, averaged 11.5 points in GCU's two WAC Tournament wins in 2021 as a freshman. After scoring 14 poinst against Seattle U in the semifinals, he made 3 of 4 3-pointers in the WAC championship win over New Mexico State in Las Vegas.
On this year's 24-12 team that lost to Gonzaga in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, McMillian was the team's third-leading scorer at 10.9 points a game. McMillian made 60 of 135 3-pointers for 44%. He shot 48% from the field. He was second to Ray Harrison on the team in assists with 78 and he led the team with 26 steals.
Igiehon, 6-10, 250 pounds, a graduate student, who came through the transfer portal two years ago from Louisville, appeared in 32 games this season, starting three. He averaged 2.6 points and 3.3 rebounds.
GCU coach Bryce Drew has three scholarships available this spring with Walter Ellis and Noah Baumann finishing up their college eligibility. Goodyear Estrella Foothills High School 7-footer Noah Amenhauser will be taking a scholarship coming in next season as a freshman.
