Grand Forks Denny's set to close Thursday

Mar. 28—GRAND FORKS — Casual diner-style restaurant Denny's in Grand Forks will close Thursday, March 31, according to a manager there.

Manager Krystne Davis told the Herald the restaurant would close at 3 p.m. Thursday, and there are no plans to reopen elsewhere. Davis said the closure is related to the lease of the building, and that the business owners do not own the building, located off of 32nd Avenue South.

Thursday's closure will mark the second time Denny's has closed in Grand Forks. According to a February

2012 Herald report,

the business closed at the end of January that year. Then-owner Ken Herslip said he struggled to find enough employees to keep the business running. Problems with finding enough workers plagued the restaurant since it first opened, he said.

The restaurant later reopened in

August 2012

under new ownership.
