Grand Forks woman named to national credit union committee

Jan. 7—GRAND FORKS — Lacey Fetsch, of Grand Forks, is among five credit union professionals in North Dakota who have been appointed to committees administered by the Credit Union National Association and the American Association of Credit Union Leagues.

Fetsch, CEO of the University Federal Credit Union, will serve on the CUNA Small Credit Union Committee for the first term. This committee tracks issues that affect small credit unions, promotes unity between credit unions of all sizes, and strives to defend against any threats to the cooperative, nonprofit, democrats structure, according to a news release from the Dakota Credit Union Association.

This is a very coveted spot, and one of the most popular national committees, according to the Dakota Credit Union Association, a professional financial trade group which serves 68 credit unions employing more than 2,200 people throughout the Dakotas.

Other North Dakotans who've been appointed to CUNA and AACUL committees are: Jon Griffin, chief lending officer, Capital Credit Union; George McDonald, chief officer of strategic services, Dakota Credit Union Association; and Jeff Olson, president and CEO, Dakota Credit Union Association, all of Bismarck; and Melanie Stillwell, CEO of Western Cooperative Credit Union, Williston.
