Grand Junction man arrested for felony menacing

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — An attempted burglar in Grand Junction was stopped by the Grand Junction Police Department Thursday morning.

GJPD officers responded to a report of a man breaking windows at a business in the 2000 block of North Avenue at around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Officers discovered a man, later identified as James Ridley amongst broken windows. The 34-year-old is being held at the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

  • Felony menacing

  • 2nd-Degree burglary

  • Criminal mischief

This is an ongoing police investigation with no further information available. The GJPD believes this to be an isolated incident without further threat to the community.
