Grand opening held for new Liquor and Wine Outlet in Manchester

Oct. 7—New Hampshire Liquor Commission officials say industry experts consider the state's Liquor and Wine Outlets some of the best in the country.

On Thursday, officials gathered for the grand opening of its newest location on Gold Street in Manchester.

The 14,000-square-foot store offers 4,000 different varieties of wine and spirits.

All three stores in the Queen City have been upgraded, and gone are the days of "tired-small-not-so-friendly-shopping-experience" buildings, said Nicole Brassard Jordan, deputy commissioner of the New Hampshire Liquor Commission during the grand opening.

"We are really pleased and thankful to be able to have all these stores look like this," she said.

Customers' orders can be placed online to be picked up in the store or curbside.

Manchester developer Dick Anagnost built the space to the specifications required by the commission.

"They are not just liquor retailers," he said. "They are designers and builders of high-profile retail locations at this point. The liquor commission is clearly committed to their brand, performance and market."

He said the commission continues to outpace private liquor and wine outlets in Massachusetts.
