South Sarasota Crumbl Cookies, a locally owned and operated business, opened its doors last week at 4942 S. Tamiami Trail, Unit 400.

Store owners are Thomas and Bea Grimme. The store is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays.

The grand opening week menu will contain six of the 275-plus weekly rotating flavors, including Crumbl’s award-winning Milk Chocolate Chip. Some of Crumbl’s specialty flavors include Cornbread, Cookies & Cream, S’mores, Key Lime Pie, Peppermint Bark, Caramel Popcorn, Buttermilk Pancake and Galaxy Brownie.

Starting April 12, delivery, curbside pickup, catering and nationwide shipping will be available via the Crumbl App and online at https://crumblcookies.com.

A second Sarasota Crumbl franchise is at 215 N. Cattlemen Road, across from University Town Center mall.

Florida-based senior living management company AgeWell Solvere Living will hold a grand opening April 20 for its newest community, 81 Oaks, in Sarasota.

The public is invited to attend the celebration from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at 7850 Hawkins Road, east of Interstate 75, off Highway 72 (Clark Road).

Before the event, dignitaries from the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce will commence with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Enjoy appetizers, live entertainment and tours.

Sarasota-based N21 Group is the developer and Lawson Group Architects is the architect on this luxurious new senior community.

Wiseman construction is the general contractor of 81 Oaks, which will have a movie theater, spa and fitness center with exercise and therapeutic equipment.

Outdoor amenities will include a terrace with gazebo designed for dining and entertainment and multiple walking trails throughout the campus as well as in secure internal courtyards.

Nomi Health has opened a new testing site in Bradenton at 410 Sixth Ave. E. Expanded testing, including for influenzas A and B and COVID-19, is available at this location.

The Nomi Health site on Eighth Avenue has closed.

The new site accepts insurance and out-of-pocket payment and will waive payment for those who cannot afford to pay.

Walk-up patients are welcome, but appointments are encouraged.

Yard House – known for great beer and food against a backdrop of classic rock – opened in Sarasota on April 2.

Located outside the University Town Center mall, at University Parkway and Interstate 75, the opening marks Yard House’s 87th location nationwide.

Pet Supplies Plus has opened a location in the Creekside Commons shopping area, 8900 U.S. Highway 301 N., Suite 101, in Parrish.

The store offers local pet parents a hassle-free way to find better products for their pets, while saving them money and celebrating the fun of pet ownership.

The store offers amenities such as a grooming salon, live small animals and fish, self-pet wash stations and a knowledgeable pet care team.

Pet Supplies Plus is owned by local residents, Marla and Paul Axelrod, who have had a passion for pets all their lives.

Pet Supplies Plus of Parrish will have adoptable cats from local shelters on its premises and will regularly host dog adoption events. The store will also bring a local veterinarian to the store regularly for routine vaccination clinics.
