The Grand Rapids Rise inaugural game to be held tonight

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Rise, West Michigan’s new Pro Volleyball Federation team, will play its inaugural game today.

The Rise will take on the Columbus Fury at 7 p.m. at the Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The first 5,000 people at Van Andel Arena will receive a free inaugural season T-shirt. Until 8 p.m., $2 beer and hot dogs will be available.

There will be several activities before and after the game, including players signing autographs.

Tickets for the inaugural Rise game at Van Andel Arena can be found online.

The game will also air on WXSP starting at 7 p.m. Friday.
