Grand Valley Resettlement Program launches ARISE program, seeking partners

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Grand Valley Resettlement Program (GVRP) and Joint Development Associates International (JDAI) have launched the ARISE program, intended to help Afghans who are new to Grand Junction get resettled.

The ARISE program — which stands for Afghan Resettlement, Integration, Stabilization and Empowerment — provides various services to help with employment and integration into the community.

The program is looking for partners, employers and donors to get involved in supporting Grand Junction’s Afghan newcomers, offering local employers the chance to hire them. JDAI will provide an incentive to local employers by paying up to four months of wages.

Local businesses interested in collaborating with the ARISE program should contact JDAI at 970-712-5391 or email at usoffice@jdainternational.org.
