Grand View football team advances to NAIA semifinals

The Grand View football team defeated Lindsey Wilson College 10-7 on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the NAIA playoffs.

Grand View's Johnny Sullivan connected on a touchdown pass to Damon Street from five yards out after a six-play, 61-yard drive in the second quarter.

Nathan Hamilton hit a 48-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to give Grand View the lead and the victory.

Grand View totaled 316 yards of offense. Sullivan was 23 of 39 passing for 221 yards with one touchdown and two picks. Ali Scott led the ground game with 63 yards on 16 attempts. Damon Street hauled in five catches for 58 yards and one score.

Grand View moves on to semifinal round of the NAIA playoffs and will host Keiser University at noon on Dec. 3.
