Cleaning a green swimming pool is typically no easy task. It can require gallons of chlorine and tireless scrubbing, vacuuming, and filtering. Not for Lisa Pack! The 49-year-old Ohio grandmother went viral when she discovered a cheap and easy hack for clearing her pool of slime in just 24 hours.

Her secret? A single Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and—get this—zero elbow grease.

"Everyone knows my pool is green by this time of the year," Lisa posted on Facebook. "However, Whitney [her daughter] spotted this idea on Facebook and I figured why not try it."

So the next time her pool started to get cloudy, Lisa tossed a Magic Eraser in the skimmer basket. Lo and behold, when she took it out (24 hours later, she told Inside Edition), the product had seemingly absorbed the green slime.

"Holla bing holla boom," she continued, "the cloudiness left and my sponge looks like this. I'm pretty excited to think something so cheap could help so much."

Color us surprised! While the powerful sponges have proven to be pros at lifting scuffs and stains all over the home, this is a certainly a new purpose for the multi-purpose cleaners. No need to be green with envy. The scrubbers are super cheap, so grab a box and try it yourself.

"People think I’m probably crazy for trying this, but it works," Lisa told Inside Edition. Crazy cool, maybe!
