Grandmother describes Poet Laureate’s performance at Inauguration

The world watched as a young woman from Los Angeles recited a poem at Wednesday’s historic Presidential Inauguration. No one was more proud than her grandmother, who watched from her Sacramento home. Bertha Gorman said she’s not surprised that her granddaughter was given this special honor. “I always knew that she could do this when the opportunity presented. I knew that she could do it. I was just filled with pride for my family, for her family, for her friends and for her,” she said. See more in the video above.
