Grant helps agency's food pantries

Jul. 28—TRIAD — Piedmont Health Services and Sickle Cell Agency has received $2,000 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation.

The agency will use the gift to assist families who may lack access to nutritional food by providing Food Lion gift cards for clients who need food items that the agency may not have, including bread, dairy, fresh produce or nutritional supplements, Ensure or Boost.

Piedmont Health Services serves 19 counties and has offices in Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Fayetteville, Goldsboro and Jacksonville.
