Snow Removal
During heavy snow days, village snow plows will be cleaning off the streets.
If at all possible, please park off the street to make it easier for the snow plows to get through.

Lent is near. February 14 is not only Valentine’s Day, but also Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent.
Please take this into consideration when planning your Valentine’s Day celebration.
Presley Dianne Richardson was baptized at St. Gertrudes Church on Sunday, Jan. 14.

School News
On Friday, Feb. 2, school will dismiss at 11:50 a.m. due to a teacher in-service. There is no school Monday, Feb. 19, due to Presidents Day.
Cold Weather Alert
Be aware that if it is too cold for you to be outside for long periods of time, then it is too cold for your pets to be out in the weather.
According to a veterinarian, pets that have a sturdy dog house and stay outside should have fresh straw rather than a blanket to lay on.
Blankets get wet and will freeze and this is not good for your dog.
Fresh food and water is also a necessity. Check on your pets often.
